Our mission is etched in the very fabric of our existence: ‘Empowering and Uplifting the Underprivileged.’ Rooted in Maiduguri, Borno State, Nigeria, SKF is not merely an organization; we are a movement dedicated to creating profound and enduring impacts on the lives of the less privileged.

What we do

Thematic Areas

Our work is built around core thematic areas designed to meet urgent needs and foster long-term impact. From health and protection to empowerment and advocacy, each area reflects our commitment to inclusive, community-led development.

Disability Inclusion

We advocate for the rights and inclusion of people with disabilities, ensuring their voices are heard and needs are addressed in all community initiatives.

Protection

Our protection programs focus on supporting survivors of gender-based violence (GBV), mental health and psychosocial support (MHPSS), and mine action awareness

Health

We provide basic healthcare services referrals, hygiene education, and SRH awareness — especially in hard-to-reach communities with limited access to medical support.

Education

We promote access to quality education for children, youth, and women, and empower communities with knowledge through awareness campaigns and training.

Climate Change

We engage in environmental cleanup, water access projects, and community sensitization on disaster preparedness and environmental sustainability.

Good Governance

We strengthen grassroots participation, promote transparency, and work with local institutions to ensure responsive governance that meets community needs.
